I’m your host for Laughter & Memories crafting and scrapbooking events, held once a month at the beautiful Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks Inn. We move into their spacious ballroom for a 3-day weekend of crafting fun, comaraderie sharing, and … well, Laughter & Memories!

Where are your events located?

The Laughter and Memories Events are held at the Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks Inn, located at 75 W Thousand Oaks Blvd in Thousand Oaks, California. Use the map to get directions.

How many crafters can attend?

Our scrapbooking and crafting room holds 39 tables each day. Each crafter buys a table or as many tables as they need to do their crafting.  

When are the scrapbooking events held?

The Laughter and Memories Events are held over 3 days – Thursday, Friday, and Saturday – once each month. The specific weekend depends on the availability of the hotel. Our next 2 events are listed a little further down the page.

Do I have to attend all 3 days in order to register?

No! You can sign up for 1, 2, or all 3 days of the weekend. If you can only make Saturday, reserve a table for just Saturday and join us! If you have a big project, by all means, book all 3 days and get that project done! If you book consecutive days, don’t worry about wasting time packing up at night and setting up in the morning. Our room is locked overnight. Of course, that’s up to you.

What are the hours?

The Laughter and Memories Events run all day. Thursday: 9am-10pm | Friday: 8am-10pm |Saturday: 8am- 10pm

Please note, all purchases must be paid for by 9pm. A crew will be in at 9pm to start cleaning up the conference room. 

I have a long drive. Can you get me a deal on a room?

Yes, we certainly can! The Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks Inn gives us a discount on room rates during the Laughter and Memories Event weekend, and we’re happy to share that deal with you. Click the button to get the hotel’s special rate.

Do you fill up fast?

Yes we do! 39 tables can go quickly, so if you’re interested, book now!

We have a waiting list, so if you see that we’re sold out, get on the list and we’ll email you if a table opens up.

How much does a craft event cost?

The Laughter and Memories Events are sold individually by day. Each day costs $50 per table. Grab as many tables as you need. Once you choose the date(s) and the quantity of tables, you’ll register and pay the total.

Do you supply scrapbooking supplies?

We supply a table, chair, and electric outlet, and you supply the rest: your materials, tools, anything you’ll need. But we do have some basic supplies available on-site that you can purchase in case you run out.

Can I give a scrapbooking and crafting event as a gift?

What a thoughtful gift for your wife, your mom, or a favorite crafter in your life! Yes, you can buy a gift certificate for them. Put enough on there for the number of days they may need, and maybe a little more for supplies, and give the gift of creativity!
